Photo by @daviddoubilet A harp seal pup called a white coat seeks shelter from the relentless winds that roar across the sea ice covering the Gulf of St Lawrence. The pups are born on the ice in February and abandoned by their moms after 12-15 days to learn how to fend for themselves. Join my partner Jennifer Hayes and I for the story behind the @natgeo story with National Geographic Live presentation Coral Kingdoms and Empires of Ice at #AmossCenter BelAir Maryland October 29 at 7:30.
